Summary: The place you live in could be a bit better. There's hardly any electricity, it's mostly below forty degrees every day, and there's a major hyper-fixation on religion everywhere. But just know that it could always be worse. For all you know, there could be monsters lurking just outside the border. And sure enough, they won't stay hidden for long.

History: In the quiet town of Maiden Woods, odd things have been happening. Most of the time, it involves people going into the forest, and never coming back. Some say it's part of a local Indian legend about monsters lurking in the shadows, while others are more skeptical. But yes, it's totally monsters. More specifically, humanoid reptilians out for blood after staying hidden for so long.

Notable Kills: Scores of horses have died at the claws of these things.

Final Fate: Most of the citizens hide in the church as a monster is hunted and killed. However, it is only now that the people realize that there are multiple monsters, and they are all seeing trying to break into the church...

Powers/Abilities: None.

Weakness: Anything conventional.

Scariness Factor: -The awful CGI would have kept these creatures lower, but you have to give the designers credit. These things are rather gnarly and intimidating, especially with their teeth. Also, they can kill you in seconds, and tower over all competition. Factor in their numbers, and you have something that could have really benefitted from a higher budget.

Trivia: -This film was based off the Devil's Footprints phenomena that broke out in England in 1855. In that year, people saw hoofprints that could have only belonged to something that walked on two legs, leading them to believe that a demon was among them. To this day, no one is really sure how to explain it, though theories abound, such as it being an elaborate prank, or even an escaped kangaroo.

-Apparently, the filmmakers wanted to make a very unique monster by taking cues from American folklore. A possible inspiration was proposed sightings of a lizardman from across the world, such as the Lizard Man of Scape Ore Swamp.
